The other week Heidi, and I went to see The World’s End with my boyfriend and our cousin, and we liked it quite a bit. If you’re a fan of Simon Pegg’s (director Edgar Wright) other movies like Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz, then I would totally recommend seeing it.

The World’s End is about five friends who try to complete the epic pub crawl they did in their youth, and they end up becoming human’s only hope for survival against an alien invasion.

The movie starts off kind of slowly, introducing the main characters, and exactly what they’re trying to achieve. Even though it’s a pretty slow start, it has a lot of witty dialogue to get you through it. However, I do feel the story could have been a little stronger if we were introduced to the main problem a little sooner. Even with all the witty dialogue, the beginning did feel like it started to drag. After the alien’s were introduced, the movie really picked up, and was enjoyable all the way to the closing credits.

I’m not saying that this movie is one that you need to rush out and see in theaters, but it was fun to watch, and really if you like all of Simon Pegg’s other movies, you won’t be disappointed.

So, what movies have you seen recently? Would you recommend them?
